Lorenzo Kom’Boa Ervin, an active member of the Black Panther Party in 1960’s was forced to flee the FBI’s Cointelpro Shoot-to-kill policy against him and many others. Hijacking a plane, he escaped to Cuba and was later deported back to the US where, at the age of 20, he was framed for attempted murder of a KKK leader, and given 2 life sentences by a racist southern State court.

His subsequent prison writings - published by organisations who campaigned for and won his release - have been circulated worldwide. He is now active in the National Federation of Community Partisans, a group of anti-authoritarian black radicals, and has toured speaking to thousands of black Americans about self-organisation and resistance.
