Né en 1849 à Londres — mort le 8 janvier 1923 — Ouvrier teinturier — Londres (Grance Bretagne)
Né dans le quartier londonien de Kentish Town, Frank Kitz, dont le véritable nom était Francis Platt, était le fils illègitime de Mary Platt, une domestique, et de l’horloger John Lewis. Il racontait plus tard être le fils d’une mère anglaise et d’un père allemand exilé après la révolution de 1848.
Dès l’enfance il dut travailler comme saute ruisseau et porteur, commença très jeune à fréquenter les meetings et réunions révolutionnaires et échappa de peu à l’arrestation lors de l’émeute à (…)

The people’s martyrs
an anniversary meeting
in commemoration of the above who were murdered and imprisoned in Chicago and London (Trafalgar Square) in November 1887, will be held at
Milton Hal
Hawley Crescent, Kentish Town Road,
on Tuesday, November 11, 1890.
The following speakers will address the meeting — W. Morris, F. Kitz, R. W. Burnie, J. Turner, Mrs. Lahr, Miss Lupton, Mrs. Schack, D. Nicoll, C. W. Mowbray, and Louise Michel.
The choir of the Socialist League will sing revolutionary songs during the evening.
Doors open at 8 p.m. — Commence at 8.15 p.m.

Store Street Hall,
Store St., Tottenham Court Rd., W.C.
The following speakers will address the meeting :
Annie Besant, John Burns, Eleanor Aveling, H. H. Sparling, Charlotte Wilson, W. M. Morris, P. Krapotkine, F. Kitz, A. Headingly, F. Hicks, Dr. Merlino, Bordes and others.
The chair will be taken at 7.30 p.m. by H. M. Hyndman.
A choir will attend and give a selection of appropriate music.
